Newton’s Third Law states that “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” This law explains the effect a force generates on another object after engagement.
I’m going to come from a different angle from the original law and use it to explain the difference in following principles vs. creating results. In today’s society, we tend to be result oriented. I call it the MICROWAVE SYNDROME where everyone wants it now! Cooking in the oven seems to be a lost art since individuals today are constantly finding ways to save time and “ease” their daily load.
Things, Objects, Results, Money, Cars, Stocks, and Trusts attract us. We tend to gravitate towards what appeals to us through our five senses. Therefore when the next great business opportunity, new car, new fashion style, new stock option, etc becomes available and becomes captured by our desire, we say to ourselves, “what must I do to get it?”
The process of trying to get something or produce a favorable result may leave someone feeling, desperate, frustrated, discouraged, or just not themselves. In other words, we tend to focus on the opposite reaction on Newton’s law instead generating the initial action.
Success is a bi-product of principles. You’ll find the reason many inventors, composers, billionaires, wealthy class, business owners, artists, corporations, farmers, presidents, pastors are successful is because they never faltered from what they believed in. They always had a key set of principles they followed that in-turn produced success. None of them had a MICROWAVE mentality. They knew that if they wanted to be something in life and create a future for the generations that followed them they had to take the right steps.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a prime example of someone who followed core-principles that pushed his dream into a reality.
Seek to understand the element that produces your desired result. Follow it, and the object of your heart will find you instead of you searching for it.
The best entrepreneurs already know about establishing themselves within an industry. They also know where people are going and spending their time. Both of these pieces of information are crucial. Something you need to really understand to be a true entrepreneur.
Gone are the days when salesmen had to educate people on products. You can type anything into Google or any other search engine and find all information you need on a product. And this is information that salesmen never really wanted people to know. When was the last time you had a vacuum cleaner salesman come to your door and try to sell you a $2000 vacuum cleaner that doesn’t work any better than that. $200.00 one no one falls for that anymore.
